Description
Winter arrives in the ancient city of York, bringing snow to its cobbled streets and crowds to its Christmas markets. For DCI Oldroyd, a quiet evening on a ghost tour becomes a descent into death when the guide discovers the body of Henry Marlow, a local landlord, in a derelict building. Suspects emerge: an ex-wife, tenants with grievances, and the tour guide himself. As festive lights illuminate the narrow passageways, a second body is found near the cathedral. Oldroyd must unravel secrets and lies before the killer strikes again, turning the approaching holiday season into a Christmas to remember for all the wrong reasons.
