Description
Thirty years ago, ten-year-old Ethan Marsh woke in his backyard tent to find his best friend, Billy, gone. Someone had sliced open the tent and taken Billy, who was never seen again. Now, Ethan has returned to his childhood home on Hemlock Circle, plagued by insomnia and strange occurrences in the dead of night. Signs of Billy’s presence begin appearing, leading Ethan to question if his friend has returned or if someone is playing a cruel game.
Ethan’s investigation into what happened that night leads him back to the woods surrounding his neighborhood, a place where Billy once spoke of ghosts and where a mysterious institute conducts clandestine research. As Ethan uncovers the secrets of his past, he learns that no place is entirely safe, and the past has a way of haunting the present. Can Ethan find the truth about Billy’s disappearance before he becomes another victim?
