Aidan Conway is an English thriller writer whose debut, A Known Evil, launched the Detective Michael Rossi series and earned him comparisons to crime fiction legend Ian Rankin. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Rome, his novels blend international intrigue with relentless pacing, marking him as a name to watch in contemporary crime fiction.

Born in Birmingham to Irish parents, Conway's passion for Irish literature led him to earn an MA in Irish Writing from Queen's University Belfast. After years in England and Ireland, he relocated to Italy in 2001, where he now works as an assistant university lecturer in Rome—a city that pulses through his fiction with authenticity and menace.

In A Known Evil, a serial killer dubbed The Carpenter terrorizes Rome, and Detective Rossi's hunt becomes personal when someone close to him is attacked.
